MSG - seats behind the stage changed

Just seen a post on TPT whereby some poor sod has had their seats in section 68 (behind the stage) changed to section 331. They've had no contact from Ticketbastard and needless to say are pretty pissed off.

For those of you with seats behind the stage, it might be wise to check your Ticketbastard account to see if the same has happened to you.

Gutted for you if they've changed the seating

I wonder if this is due to the new screen configuration.

If it is it is Piss Poor Planning to have them seats available, then re-assign because someone dropped the Fucking Ball.

This is seriously fucked up. How can they collect your money and then CHANGE what you AGREED to purchase???? If it's their error, isn't it illegal to do that? Don't they have to stand by it? Guess they could just say, ok, we'll refund your money, but that's fucked up.

I was wondering about the screen sitch. But figured, like a fool, "Oh, they wouldn't sell those tickets if the rear screen was being used. Perhaps they'll go back to the old set up for this show." WRONG!!

I'd read every printed disclosure by TM, LiveNation, etc. I suspect they put some fine print in to cover themselves in such a situation. But just looking at the face of the facts, I'm not sure how TM can do this legally.

I'm no fan of Ticketmaster, BUT...it sounds like Police management are the ones who fucked up here. I recall many of us presuming that the stage configuration with the new screen set-up would pretty much make behind the stage seats unavailable. Sounds like we were right, but no one at mgt let TM know about the change.

So, who's responsible, and more importantly, how can the folks affected by this get some fair recourse? It totally sucks!

You would think that they would know which seats they are selling before they put them up!
