The Police photo book by Lawrence Impey is OUT

I received my copies today - the hardover book features 100 pages, quality is excellent, a foreword by Andy, an afterword (with additional photos) by Lawrence Impey, some samples of his photos being used in magazines, programs or elsewhere:

if you're even slightly interested in a copy (and don't belong to the group of fans who already made the book possible on kickstarter) send an e-mail to :

I am not going to buy, but I am curious to learn what kind of book this is. What kind of photos? What is so special about them?

Lawrence Impey did the very first photo sessions with the band, that's what makes it special.

* January 23, 1977 - photo session for the Fall Out single cover
* August 11, 1977 - first photo session with the new three piece line-up including Andy Summers
* September 25, 1977

* March 12, 1978 (concert photography in Bristol)
