Way to go, GG! Don't keep us lingering in suspense for too long!! I hope Stewart posts about what he thinks of the flag having seen it close up!

Maybe Stewart should have exposed it to Sting so he could be immune to any further viral infections.

the question isn't "how"
the question is "why"?
in my opinion whoever did this killed a supposedly great moment for both DM and Stewart

That's what came to my mind that it would have been proper if DM would have handed the flag over to Stewart.

Dietmar, I agree that the Flag honor was OWNED by DM and GG in her enthusiasm has broken the rules. Totally agree with this.

I hope, though, that you are not showing sour grapes for the pictures themselves, because you certainly did not protest when you posted yours singing with Sting.

It was cool to see one of us getting that close to Stewart. The damage was done and there is nothing that any of us could do.

I too was excited for Georgygirl AND STEWART who looked pleased as punch, but I think I posted in GGs thread over in the tour tickets post that I was pretty sure it was a rule.

Hard to be happy for someone, and then also upset that they didn't follow the rules set up for all of us flag-bearers.

D had the chance to show Stewart in Europe. I could have shown it to Stewart had I taken up my friends' invitations (but still too chicken to do so, and didn't trust myself to have nothing to say but "have you seen the flag" so I just ran and hid). I am SURE others have as well.Umm, hello, GIO could have too.

But I do personally believe DM will get the love and affection and just plain utter awe at her most awesomeness up close and in person at the appropriate time.
No doubt in my mind. Because our STEWART takes care of his peeps. All of them, and he knows who has worked so hard.

I know what you're saying D. I gasped when I read Georgy's account and wondered whether Kellie hit the roof when she found out. You've got every right to be pissed off. You did an awful lot of flag muling for the cause. But, what's done is done. It's too bad it didn't happen like it was intended.

BUT, Stewart knows what this means to us too and shouldn't have asked to see it. It may have killed him to be so close (and yet so far), but resist temptation friend.

I'm sure he was touched beyond belief to see all the signatures and well wishes on the back . But we can still enjoy the photos that resulted from the (ill-fated??) meeting.
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!
