GREETINGS FROM POLICEWORLD!

Postby phaty on 18 Jul 2007 19:48

A bass player and a drummer are driving out through the country late one afternoon when their Microbus overheats and stalls. Trapped in the middle of nowhere, the bass player and the drummer walk through a large field up to the steps of a quaint farmhouse. The farmer walks out on the porch, followed by his very attractive daughter, and asks, "Can I help you boys?" The drummer says, "Yeah, our car broke down. Can we use your phone to call a tow truck or a repair person?"

The farmer replies, "Well, I don't have a phone and the nearest repair guy is in town about a hundred miles away. I could take you boys in the morning if you woulnd't mind waiting till then."

"I guess so," said the bass player, staring at the daugther, "Do you have
somewhere we can stay?" "Well," the farmer replied, "I only have two beds in the house: one is mine and one is my daughter's. I guess you could sleep in with her if that's okay with you."

"That would be fine," the bass player replied immediately.
That night, the drummer and the bass player were both in bed with the
daughter. She rolls over to them and says "Hey, you guys wanna have some fun?" They look at each other and say, "Yeah, well, I guess." "Well, put these on so I don't get pregnant," She says. Three weeks later, the drummer and the bass player are back home jamming in their garage. The bass player turns to the drummer and says, "Hey, do you really care if that girl gets pregnant?"

The drummer replies, "No, I guess not." The bass player says, "Neither do I. Good, then I'm gonna take this damn thing off!"

I just try to entertain some of the journalists who will show up here later tonight trying to find something in Stewarts post to write about tomorrow!
I am sure they will turn: "I’ve hit the gong perfectly for several gigs in a row now… " into "Copeland now at 55 way over the peak and on a fast downhill claims that his eyes are so bad by now that he only hits the gong by accident ... he also said the fistfights with Sting are getting boring since the lead singer brings his wife to help him out ... "

Thanks for the words Stew! I'm so pumped to finally see you and the boys tomorrow night. I'm already praying to the Rock Gods to hold off the rain. And maybe with The Police playing at Citizen's Bank Park, you can leave some good karma there for the losingist sports team of all time(The Phillies, 10,001 losses and counting) to pick up on. Blow the roof off the dump!!!

OK, now that I've recovered from the blackout induced by Stewart saying "flag" . . .

[quote="STEWART"]
I love seeing the green flag out there. It was so close in Cleveland that Andy almost tripped over it.

Damn you, Stewart. You know that I'm working so hard to keep people from being asshats -- and there you go making it look like I was being an asshat in Cleveland.

The Second Law of the Flag is Don't Be An Asshat, people!

PS -- As always, Thank You, Stewart.
You asshat.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

I was wondering if your first response was automatic and how long it took for the shock to set in.

Thanks Stewart! You guys really are getting better, the gong sounds are getting better with every show! In only a two week time period between St. Louis and Louisville, I've noticed that you guys seemed to have gotten more comfortable on stage. The sound is just unparalleled by any other live show I've experienced. It sounds like you guys are playing from a recording studio! As a representative of those born in the post-Police era (80's and 90's), I say that you guys make us all scream like those before us from the late 70's and early 80's.

Thanks for checking in on the forum Stewart!
